Our story
The idea for Sunflower Labs began in 2016 with a simple question: why do security systems only watch when they could act? Cameras and alarms provided evidence after the fact, but they did little to help in the moment. With advances in robotics, computer vision, and autonomy, Chris, Nick, and Alex set out to build a system that could respond in real time, like a security guard that takes to the sky.
They combined their backgrounds in aviation, drones, and technology to create a new kind of security. The result was an autonomous drone that can investigate, analyze, and monitor what is happening around a property. What started as an ambitious idea has become a practical solution that gives people a smarter and more proactive way to protect what matters.
